La Belle Dame Sans Merci - John Keats

Was hanging out with a few friends tonight when this ballad came to mind. Maybe it was the mix of English majors, business concepts and French, but I remember having a strange liking for this ballad back in middle school. Re-reading now has not changed that liking.

It gives the reader a surreal peace, despite its emotional roller coaster and rather unsettling happenings

Someone Like You - Adele

Everything in this song just hit the right notes, be it the lyrics, the place it was filmed, or her presentation of it. Funny how my time in France was pretty much the same way, coming to terms, recovering, then living again.

So it’s finally 2012, and boy am I glad I managed to attend my first service of the year! He never fails to fill my heart with thankfulness for His mercies and grace in my life, and with 2012 set to be better than the summation of previous years, I can’t help but look forward to the surprises He has prepared for me.
